Sooners Put Up Eight Runs in First Inning
WEB Oklahoma opened up the 2022 Mens College World Series with a bang and a 13-8 win over No. 15 Texas A&M. The Sooners put up eight runs in the first inning, chasing Aggies starter Nathan Dettmer from the game after just two-thirds of an inning. Oklahoma added three more runs in the second inning to take an 11-0 lead, and they cruised to the victory from there.
Tournament Schedule and Results
The 2022 NCAA Mens College World Series was the final stage of the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. It was scheduled from June 17 through June 27 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska. Eight teams competed in the double-elimination tournament, with the winner being crowned the national champion.
Ole Miss captured the first Mens College World Series title in program history, sweeping Oklahoma in the championship series. The Rebels won the first game of the series 4-2, and they took the second game 5-1 to clinch the title.
